Live Coralline Algae
Coralline algae are rock-hard calcareous red algae that fulfill two key functional roles in coral reef ecosystems: they contribute significantly to reef calcification and cementation, and they induce larval settlement of many benthic organisms.
NOTE: If your system is a new or unstable/low nutrient system (includes low bio load) we recommend running the Coralline through a filter to remove the water and backwash contents using water from your tank/reef system. The reason for this is to ensure the Reef Stable water that is included does not introduce bacteria/nitrates/phosphates too fast into your system. If however this is what you want, meaning to introduce the bacteria/nitrate/phosphates a healthy reef system needs to function then dump contents into your system as usual.
